Kai po che!

Literally translated as “I have Cut”, Kai Po Che is a Gujarathi word, used to proclaim victory while flying kites, that he/she has cut the other kite’s string and is the winner. The phrase was made even popular by the kite dance in the hindi movie “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.”

DPS East, Bangalore celebrated their Annual Day yesterday. The theme was Lok Rang, meaning Folk Colors. Vidyuth’s class showcased Gujarat and they did an enthusiastic presentation of the Kite Dance. He is the 3rd one from the right.

Vishruth’s class enacted the Ramayana.
